Welcome to the Boardwalk Chess Club. We are an inclusive space open and available to everyone of all ages and all levels of skill.
From the famed grandmaster’s looking for a new challenger to a new contender’s first foray into the hobby we are prepared to teach, play, or compete!
Join us for our weekly Chess Club every Wednesday night from 6pm-9pm!
Meet new friends and old rival’s in one of history’s most esteemed game of skill for only $8 per drop-in.
How to participate
The easiest way to get started is to simply show up to our weekly drop-in chess club. It starts every Wednesday at 6pm right in Abbotsford at Boardwalk Cafe. The drop-in fee is $8 for the evening.

In-house Chess Elo System
How It Works
Players will start with an initial Elo rating which will be adjusted based on the outcome of their games. By competing against each other, players will have the opportunity to improve their rating as they strive to climb up the ranks.
